Basilio Monteiro

St. John's University in New York (USA)

Professor Basilio Monteiro will open the face-to-face sessions of the Congress with a paper entitled "Making Virtue Ethics Go Viral: Media Ethics in the Information Sphere". 

Rafael Capurro

Stuttgart Media School in Germany

Professor Rafael Capurro will discuss the ethical implications of information technologies in society. In his talk, he will trace the origins of this discussion, which dates back to the 1970s.

Professor Helena Sousa has coordinated and participated in national and international research projects on media regulation, communication policies and journalism.

Professor Fernando Paulino coordinates the Communication Policies Laboratory (LaPCom-UnB), the Community Communication and Citizenship Project (CNPq); and is part of the Communication and Democracy Project in Brazil and Germany (CAPES/DAAD).
