Communication challenges in a changing media ecosystem

How can we think about communication ethics for the media, journalism and information in a normatively diverse, plural, globalized and fragmented space?

Communication ethics at the turn of artificial intelligence is the theme of the VIII Media Ethics Conference, which will take place on July 9, 10, 11 and 12, 2024 in Coimbra. The first two days of the program will be dedicated to online communication sessions and the last two to face-to-face communications and conferences.

Media ethics should be debated regularly by society. The concern for media ethics does not belong to press owners, media associations or media professionals. It belongs first and foremost to citizens.
